Position: Registered Nurse - Med Surg
Location: Mishawaka, IN
Shift: Day Shift, 8 hours
Duration: 8-week contract

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical unit provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting. The RN is responsible for the care of patients across the lifespan who are experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patients' medical, physical, and psychosocial status.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment and in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families about their healthcare needs and provide support and guidance.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active Indiana RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg experience
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• EPIC experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
